Shiatsu Thai Bodywork

  • mindful.

Accept what is here and now.

  • heartful.

    Listening with an open heart.

  • holistic.

    Everything is connected.

 ~

Body, mind and soul are inseperably connected. Together they form a whole human being. If there is a problem on one layer the other layers are inevitably affected. In holistic bodywork a person is met and treated as this whole being and so it strengthens the connection to the self. If one can sense the connection to the self consequently the connection to everything outside the self can be felt as well.

„Love and compassion are the basis for peace on earth on all levels.“

Dalai Lama

„Have you also learned that secret from the river; that there is no such thing as time?" That the river is everywhere at the same time, at the source and at the mouth, at the waterfall, at the ferry, at the current, in the ocean and in the mountains, everywhere and that the present only exists for it, not the shadow of the past nor the shadow of the future. […] he was taught by the river. Incessantly, he learned from it. Most of all, he learned from it to listen, to pay close attention with a quiet heart, with a waiting, opened soul, without passion, without a wish, without
judgement, without an opinion“

Hermann Hesse, Siddharta

“Health is a state of complete harmony of the body, mind and spirit.”

B.K.S. Iyengar

“Mama means love” ~ Veda

Mamãe is Portuguese and means Mama, an affectionate variation from mãe - mother. Mothers nourish our children just like mother earth nourishes us. The turtle has been by my side for a long time as my “spirt animal”. In many indigenous cultures she symbolizes our mother earth. She is a symbol for silence and patience. She embodies a long life and teaches us mindfulness and slowness. With Mamãe I want to provide time and space to nourish your self. Only when we nourish ourselves can we nourish others. With Shiatsu, Nuad (Thai Yoga Massage) and Craniosacral Work I want to help you to connect with youself, your whole being. I combine those holistic therapies in their essence and call my treatments ShiatsuThai Bodywork. If you want to find out for yourself, feel free to contact me - I am looking forward to meeting you!

“It is no accident that the word ‘humus’ and ‘human’ have the same root. We are the earth. What we do to the soil, we do to ourselves. […] Moving from -an to -us, human to humus, we come into a sense of we: of interconnection and interbeing”

Dr. Vandana Shiva
